초록

Lexical list is a very useful resource available at various scenes of foreign language education: designing a curriculum, making textbooks, creating and grading examinations, and so on. There are three steps of building a lexical list, that is, vocabulary selection, lexical entry description, and vocabulary evaluation. This paper aims to specify the requirements at each stage, focusing on two points a lexical list for teacher's and a lexical list which is learner oriented. To be a helpful teaching tool, the list is expected to provide teachers with explicit and detailed information of lexical entries that can be accessed via some linguistic feature indexes as well as vice versa. 'Learner oriented' here means to be customized for learners' native language, the purpose of learning, and the place of learning (learning Korean in or out of Korea).

The purpose of this study is to provide the method of effectively teaching the use of Korean Particles 'ege' and 'e' to learners who speak Japanese as a native language. Because particles 'ege' and 'e' in Korean correspond to all 'に' in .Japanese, learners sometimes have error in choosing 'ege' or 'e'. In Korean textbooks used at universities in Japan, it is explained that 'ege' is affixed to most of animate noun phrases such as human or animals, and 'e' is affixed to inanimate noun phrases such as objects and places. It follows the explanation of Korean grammar research. However, in example sentences shown in corpus, there are many exceptional sentences. (However, with the example sentences that has shown in the corpus, there are many exceptions.) A fundamental cause of such problem is a wrong approach of the existing research on 'animacy'. Accordingly, in this study, in terms of 'animacy hierarchy', the usage of Korean particles 'ege' and 'e' is newly summarized. Also, the usage of 'ege' and 'e' indicated in Korean textbooks published in Japan is examined and its problems arc indicated. The biggest problem is that 'cge' and 'e' ls limited only to an elementary grammar items. Related people should be concerned about the way to provide the proper explanation and practice for an elementary, intermediate or advanced level, not stopping the usage of particles after presenting them notwithstanding the same grammar item.

In the process of learning foreign language, the education of speaking is the basic and fundamental field. It should also be the core of learning Korean. The development of speaking skill is very closely related to the reading skill. The process of learning reading skill is to understand Korean syllabic characters and phonemes. lt's the necessity of phonics education. Linking sound is the common phonological phenomena in Korean pronunciation, but it doesn't appear in Chinese. Korean learners usually prefer native Korean speaker phonics teachers for correct pronunciation. However, they don't seems to realize, not paying too much attention to it, that the linking sound is a special Korean phonological process to learn and memorize. This study attempts to find out the effective teaching method of phonics education for Taiwanese college students majoring in Korean language and literature. It discusses the combinations of Korean syllable structure and the linking sounds.

To Korean language learners in Taiwan, passing the intermediate level of TOPIK meets the requirement of Government sponsored overseas study, or the entrance requirement for Korean institutions. The standard curriculum of various Korean teaching institutions, it takes at least 8 months to reach a level of TOPIK. Under optimistic expectations, passing the 3rd or 4th level of TOPIK takes 28 to 38 months. A strong requirement of a short intensive Korean course can be observed from the questionnaire. Based on the requirement, this study attempts to develop a curriculum for short-term intensive Korean course. Aimed to help students without Korean background passing the intermediate level of TOPIK. To access the feasibility of such course, the author started an experimental class, running over a span of 131 days, a total of 265 class hours. After the course, out of nine students taking the TOPIK, 6 passed intermediate levels, (2 passed level four, 6 passed level three). Even for the three students who didn't pass, all have given positive feedbacks. The results suggest that short term intensive Korean course can be effective and it should develop teaching materials specially designed for short term intensive Korean course.

This paper investigates the interaction of syllable contact and morphological structure in Sino-Korean, based on a corpus approach. Two phonological phenomena are specifically discussed in this paper: (a) nasalization of lateral /l/ and (b) nasality percolation. This paper focuses on the morphological structure of trisyllabic phrases (ABC) in Sino-Korean, especially AB+C, a left branching internal structure. The corpus is based on Dictionary cf Standard Korean Pronunciation, from which 230 phrases are gleaned. The 230 phrases are divided into 24 subcategories according to the classification ofC in the ABC structure. The results suggest that 98.70% of the corpus instances of lateral /l/ undergo nasalization when they contact preceding nasals. The only exceptions (1.3%) are attested in the syllabic contact of -n#l-, in which lateral /I/ does not turn into nasal. Instead, lateralization as in -n+I- > -II- takes place. To account for the nasalization of lateral /l/ in Sino- Korean, this paper suggests that nasal percolation and progressive assimilation are the main causes for the phenomena.

This study considers '-ke(-게), -neunde(-는데), -dako/daku(-다고/다구), -( eu )ryeoko(-(으)려고), -ko/ku(-.:il./~)' as target which are both connective endings and final endings with interrogative function. In order to make Chinese learning Korean use proper expressions like native speakers, this study extracted context of native speakers from spoken discourse and translated this to Chinese. Comparing Korean with Chinese, looking for differences of interrogative degree and structures, this study provides basic data for Korean learners. However, the results show that there are no differences between structural elements which are devoted to forms and interrogative function. Also, interrogative sentences with similar meanings and functions in Chinese and Korean. Consequently, in order to reduce confusion by learners, this study analyzed the use aspect of final endings with similar meanings according to circumstance context in spoken discourse. As this provides information about the usage of how to question a person, this study is meaningful at this point.

Today, when we talk about the novel 'Journey to the West', the famous Chinese classical novel first comes into our mind. This novel is known as the representative work of the sprit and evil and it is an extended account of the legendary pilgrimage of Tang dynasty Buddhist monk Xuanzang who traveled to the 'Western Regions', that was, ancient India, to obtain the Buddhist sacred texts and returned aflcr many trials and much suffering. The author depicted that Buddha gave this task to the monk and provided him three protectors Sun Wukong, Zhu Wuneng and Sha Wujing who agree to help him as atonement for their sins. Classical work Journe.v to the West has strong roots in Chinese folk re!igion,Taoist, and Buddhist philosophy and this beauty of coexisting multi religion form shows that a utopian world even in the modern world could be possible. If there is a 'Journey to the west with the back ground story of adventures journey to Buddha land in China, there is also a novel 'Journey to the West' in Korea with the back ground fantastic and adventures story of the journey of patronage to the North side of Korea.
The Korean novel 'Journey to the West' was written by Choi In-hun, one of the represcnlative post-colonial Korean writers. He wrote this novel after he recovered from the trauma of his young age and with the perception of resistance to transcend the reality of partition of Korea. He published the 'Journey to the West' in 1966, and then he again published a work with same name and with the similar back ground story of classical Chinese 'A Journey to the West' but somewhat different expression and different story ending in his complete work collection in 1976, Both works of Choi Inhun shows his interest in Chinese classical novel. This paper provides an important clue to understand why Choi Inhun adopted the Chinese classical story. Journey to the West in 1960s and 1970s. After introduction, this paper provide the information about the root of patronage monkey in Chinese 'Journey to the West. This paper explains how monkey character was first appeared in the Indian epic Ramayana and later it was adopted into the Chinese classical work .Journey to the West. Later, Korean writer Choi Inhun adopted and wrote in his own style, and discusses the problem of postpartition of Korea and the problem of modem humanity. He is trying to explain problem of power desire of humanity by the ruler and it misuse on the innocent public through this novel. Choi Inhun tries to convey the message that authorities always try to suppress the resister no matter which period you arc living in through hls works. This is the main problem of our humanity and we should have to think about it in order to make better society.

On the military front, the implementation of North Korea's "Byungjin Policy" aims to develop the country into a military power with strong nuclear capabilities; on the economic front, the Policy is aimed at creating economic growth and development, establishing North Koreaas a rich and prosperous economic power. During his reign, Kim Il-sung had a}ready come up with the idea of researching and developing nuclear weapons to achieve the "National Defense Self-Reliance'' goal. On the other hand, he also stressed the idea of the "Self-sufficient Economy", hoping to build a modcrately prosperous society where people "eat rice, drink meat soup, wear nice clothes, and lived in tiled homes". Throughout Kim Jong-il's administration, the' 'Songun Policies' were introduced, implementing the "military first" rule. Focusing on the development of nuclear weapons, two nuclear tests were conducted, and the foundations for the further development of nuclear weapons were established. When Kim Jong-un rose to the power, the implementation of the "Byungjin Line" was advocated. Subsequently, the third and fourth nuclear tests were carried out. Assessing the current state of North Korea's nuclear weapon technology, the country is only one step away from possessing a nuclear arsenal, and it will soon become a nuclear-armed state. The United Nations Security Council attempted to use economic sanctions against North Korea, pressing the country to halt its development of nuclear weapons. Russia and China play a key role in the matter; therefore, the stance their governments take is key in determining the success or failure of North Korean nuclear disarmament. Looking at the relations of the North Korean peninsula with its neighboring countries, they are intricate and complex. Not only are opinions between the Northern and Southern peninsula strongly divided, but they have also been embroiled in serious conflicts, and continuous struggles. Furthermore, due to national intcrests, all countries involved continue to scheme against one another; each having their own ulterior motives, they are unable to reach agreements and overcome contradictions. The country which would benefit the most from the nuclear disarmament of North Korea is the United States of America. However, on one side, the U.S. has allied with Japan, South Korea. Vietnam, Philippines, and India to contain the rise of China, on the other side they have stirred up territorial disputes in the South China Sea. Such strategies have further offended China, therefore, expecting China to pressure North Korea to give up its nuclear weapons, or even to lead North Korea's collapse, is probably a vain and pointless hope that will lead to inevitable disappointment.

This paper proposes to trace the perception of Indian leaders about Korea during the post-colonial period. Since India and Korea experienced colonial hardship and had common trajectories after independence, we need to scmtinize the viewpoint of leaders in order to establish the Indian position on Korean peninsula. It is pertinent to note that after independence the world view of Indian leaders significantly influenced the Indian masses. The pre perceptions of Post-Colonial Korea among Indian leaders portray a single thread that is diplomatic viewpoints. Due to paucity of historical evidences, it is understood that there was no deeper contact and masses of the two nations were less concerned towards each other.
Nevertheless, it can be identified through the recent sources that the perception about Korea among Indian leaders was not negative and it has revived with greater strength in modern times. The Indian leaders' view on colonial Korea was based on the anti-colonial linkages and the notion of pan Asianism. The recent findings offer multi-dimensional approach where Indian leaders appear to be underlining Korea as a potential partner in East Asia. Hence, this paper attempts to scrutinize the perception of Indian leaders about Korea and explains the projected elements of Korea during the post-Colonial period.

This paper looks into the evolution of the private school teachers' pension in Korea and examines the possible changes for the future. The study divides into two sections. The first section provldes an overview of current private school teachers' pension systems, and the next one examines some issues related to financial sustainability. The private school teachers' pension in Korea was introduced in 1975, which was established correspondingly to the provisions and rules of the national pension scheme.
Although it has grown rapidly over the past 43 years, the 'low burden-high benefit' structure raises financial difficulties to confront such as a rapid decrease in population of new college students and mounting pension costs largely due to low birth rate and a rapidly aging society. To resolve the financial instability, there has been a number of pension refon11s since its implement. The latest one was in 2016. However, its key tasks remain such as achieving a long term financial sustainability. Some desirable directions of reform arc reviewed to more successfully achieve these tasks.

Talents development of university and college teachers normally need longer time than teachers from high school, middle school and primary school. Basically, after completing degree, master and PhD process and start working in the education field, the average age will be over thirty, they could only have a slender income or wait for the full time at that period of time. In fact, for higher education teachers, it is not sufficient in their guarantee of lives. Especially for private university and college teachers, as they are employed under private university and college, their careers arc closely related to policy and development of the university and college, relatively the risks of guarantees in careers and retirement are also slightly higher, thus a perfect pension system for private university and college teachers would be a basic guarantee in ease of teaching. There was no many private university and college, and teachers in earlier times, thus the treatment problems of private university and college teachers have not been widely discussed. Yet, after balancing the role of public and private education, government, university and college and teachers began to have systematic discussions on treatment problems of private university and college teachers.
However, the treatment and retirement guarantees of private university and college teachers, throughout the improvement process, what have they gone through and what obstacles they have been facing? This paper attempts to focus on these, especially on the treatment and retirement guarantees of the private university and college teachers. Firstly, multi-pillar pension system have been discussed, then the salary structure of university teachers, guarantees of first and second pillar have also been discussed separately which include the protection of legislative evolution, revised background and contents of law and etc. Lastly, some opinions on the recent reform orientations have also been discussed.
